Wood Fired Hot Tubs

Three of our glamping pods (Cedar, Maple and Hazel) have their own private wood fired hot tub next to the pod allowing you to enjoy an outdoor bathing experience to compliment your glamping holiday

Our wood fired hot tubs offer a more rustic, back to nature experience to relax and unwind. The hot tubs are made from solid wood, lined with fibre glass and are heated by a wood burning stove.  There are no noisy jets, the only noise you will hear is the crackle of the wood burning as you relax.

The water is heated by the fire and takes approximately 2 hours if heated with the insulated canvas lid on to the ideal temperature of 37 degrees. We provide a thermometer and once the water temperature reaches 37 degrees, you can close the air intake on the stove so the fire will die down and stop heating the water.

We do not use any chemicals in our hot tubs, we drain, clean and refill the hot tubs after every use as they do not have a filtration system so it is a natural bathing experience.

The hot tub stove will be prepared each day so it is ready for you to light, it is set up with kindling, firelighters and we will supply a bucket of heat bricks per day which will be enough to get the hot tub heated to 37 degrees. There are full instructions in the pods of how to heat the hot tub and we live next door so if you get stuck we are usually on hand to help. Once it is hot, it will stay hot for at least 6 hours so you can heat when you arrive and then you can get in anytime that evening.

We do a pre-light service as an additional extra if you would like your hot tub heated ready for your arrival. If you need extra fuel, you can purchase nets of kiln dried wood or heat bricks from our honesty shop. Only fuel supplied by us can be used for the fire. Full instructions will be provided before and during your stay.

Wood fired hot tubs are a more traditional, eco-friendly way to relax as when wood burns it releases no more CO2 than if it were left to rot, so it is carbon neutral. We have our own bore hole water supply on site to refill the hot tubs.
