FAQ
- Are you open all year round? – We are open 7 days a week from February to October, we open weekends only in November then close during December and January. Our glamping pods are suitable for all seasons, they have underfloor heating, electricity, ensuite facilities and Smart TVs so are cosy and warm during the colder months.
- Is there parking? – Yes, there is parking for 2 cars right next to each pod so you’re not carrying your luggage across the field.
- Can I bring my dog? – Yes, three of our four glamping pods are dog friendly (Willow, Maple and Hazel pods). We welcome a maximum of 2 dogs per pod. Dogs must not be left unattended in the pods at any time and must be supervised at all times. There is a £25 fee per dog per stay for up to 2 dogs. Dogs can be added on as an extra at the time of booking. Service pets may accompany guests with disabilities at no extra charge.
- Do your pods have hot tubs? – Yes three of our pods have Wood Fired Hot Tubs (Cedar, Maple and Hazel pods). For more information about our Hot Tubs please click here
- What time is check in and check out? – Check in is 3pm and check out is 10am. Early check in and late check out may be possible but must be arranged with us prior to your stay.
- Is there a minimum night stay? – There is a 3 night minimum stay during school holidays and bank holiday weekends when our check in days are Monday’s and Friday’s. We have a 2 night minimum stay at all other times of the year and we occasionally offer one night stays in low season.
- How many people do the pods sleep? – We have 2 different layouts in the pods. Willow and Cedar sleep up to 4 adults or a family of 4 with a double bed and double sofa bed. Maple and Hazel pods have a double bed and 2 bunk beds (the top bunk is only suitable for children under 12) and a single sofa bed so they are suitable for a family of up to 5 but maximum 3 adults.
- Do you allow fires and BBQ’s? – Yes each pod has a firepit with BBQ grill. You can purchase kindling, logs and charcoal in our honesty shop. Only the firepit/BBQ provide by us should be used, we do not allow disposable BBQ’s. We also have a communal BBQ hut which can be hired for £10 for the night for a cosy BBQ in all weathers.
- Do you provide bed linen and towels? – Yes we provide all bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels. You will need to bring your own hot tub/beach towels. You will be provided with a full list of everything we supply in our pods before your stay so you know what to pack.
- Do you allow whole site / group bookings? – Yes, one of the best things about our site is that you can have exclusive use of our glamping site sleeping up to 18 people (not 18 adults due to bunk beds being unsuitable for adults) for family and friends holidays or to celebrate a special occasion. This can be booked online, or you may find it easier to contact us directly by phone or email to enquire about availability for whole site bookings.
- You can also book two or three pods together online for smaller gatherings, groups or get togethers.
- We do ask you to respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum in the evenings. We do not allow Stag or Hen parties unless discussed with us first and at least one person booking and staying in each pod must be over 21 years of age.
- Do you have any facilities for children? – Yes we very much welcome families and have a fully enclosed large playing field for children to run around and we have a selection of garden games, board games and ride on toys our guests can use. We also have a bell tent in the field during the summer with games for children to play in. We offer free use of a travel cot, please contact us if you would like a travel cot (please bring your own bedding / sheets) in your pod for your arrival.
- Do your pods have showers? – Yes each pod has its own shower room with powerful shower, basin and toilet.
- Do we have to clean up before we leave? – We ask our guests to put any used towels in the shower area, do the washing up and empty the bins into the outside bins.
- Is there a shop? – We have a small honesty shop on site where you can purchase essential items such as logs, marshmallows, toothpaste, etc as well as food and drink products.
- Where is the nearest supermarket? – The nearest local shop is a Londis at Summercourt, 2 miles away (TR8 5DN). There are plenty of supermarkets in Newquay – Morrisons (5 miles), Lidl (5 miles), Aldi (6 miles), Sainsburys (7 miles) and Asda (6 miles) and a big Tesco (9 miles) and Waitrose (8 miles) in Truro.
- How do I book? – You can check availability and book online via this website. You will always get the best price by booking direct with us. If you have any queries regarding bookings, please email or call us.
- How do I pay my balance? – When you book online we require a 30% to confirm your booking. The remainder is due 30 days before you stay, you will receive an automated email 30 days before your stay with a link to pay off your balance by card. If you wish to pay earlier, please just drop us an email and we can send a payment link.
- What should I do if I need to cancel? – Please contact us as soon as possible by email or phone. We do not offer refunds but may be able to offer you another date. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details of our cancellation policy.
- Will someone be there to meet me on arrival? – We have a contact free arrival service so your key will be in your pod from 3pm so you can let yourself in after 3pm. However, we do live next door and like to meet all our guests but may not be available when you arrive. We will leave our phone numbers in the pod so if you need anything when you arrive, please just give us a call.
- Is there a TV and Wi-Fi? – yes we offer free Wi-Fi in all our pods and we have a good 4G signal too. Each pod has it’s own Smart TV.
- Can I invite friends over while I am staying? – Additional guests are not allowed on site without prior approval and guests are not permitted to use the hot tubs.
- Do you have washing and drying facilities? – Yes, we have a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests to use during your stay. We also have a drying room for wetsuits and beach equipment.
- Do you provide a hairdryer in the glamping pods? – Yes, each glamping pod has a hairdryer for your use during your stay.
- Can I get to The Beeches Glamping using public Transport? – We do not recommend visiting our glamping site without a car due to our semi rural location. We do have a bus stop outside our glamping site so you can travel to Newquay or Truro on public transport during your stay, but you really do need a car to make the most of your stay.
- What is the access to The Beeches Glamping like? – Our glamping site is located on an A road so there are no narrow country lanes to navigate to find us and we are only a mile from the main A30 so a great base to explore Cornwall. There is a driveway with a electric gate to enter, guests will be sent the code on the arrival day. There are two steps up to the pods but once you are inside, there are no steps.
