Cornwall is set for a bumper year of events and festivals, ranging from live music, sporting events, food fairs, historical festivals and much more. With a fully blown programme of events across our beautiful county, you’re sure to find a festival that coincides with your upcoming visit – here are the events you won’t want to miss this year…

CGS Spring Flower Show

Join the Cornwall Garden Society’s celebration of Cornwall’s early spring flowers at The Royal Cornwall Showground. Labelled as the “Chelsea of the West”, the Spring Flower Show is a major date on the horticultural calendar, taking place from Saturday 5th – Sunday 6th April.

St Endellion Easter & Summer Festivals

This popular Cornish music festival showcases musicians from all over the world. There are two events in the St Endellion calendar: an Easter festival and a summer festival. The Easter festival will take place from 12th – 20th April and the summer festival will take place from 29th July – 8th August.

Fowey Festival of Arts & Literature

Literary lovers flock to the famous riverside town of Fowey each year. The festival is inspired by the famous author Daphne du Maurier, who spent a large portion of her life in and around Fowey. This year, writers, speakers, and musicians will be heading to Fowey from 9th – 17th May.

Eden Sessions

The Eden Sessions is a series of live music events held in the summer, specifically May and June this year. Held in the spectacular Eden Project, this beautiful site with its natural acoustic welcomes world-class artists each year to perform in front of thousands.

The Great Estate

The Manic Street Preachers, Craig Charles, Electric Six and DJ Yoda are all heading to Scorrier House from 30th May – 1st June. This ‘rambunctious garden fete’ is ideal for grown-ups and children, with ‘safari walkabouts’, survival workshops, gin gardens, Victorian sports days, circus shows and much more.

Royal Cornwall Show

Cornwall’s biggest day out is set to take place at The Royal Cornwall Events Centre on 5th – 7th June this year. Discover the very best in Cornish shopping, animals, live entertainment, food and drink and much more.

Tunes in the Dunes

The UK’s biggest festival on a beach, held on the beautiful white sands of Perranporth, will return on 6th – 8th June this year. This live music festival will celebrate its 10th year, bringing together thousands of festivalgoers to watch major international acts at a truly unique venue.

Tropical Pressure Festival

This small, family friendly festival is due to take place at Mount Pleasant Eco Park from 10th – 13th July. Celebrating the rich music, dance, and food of 3 tropical continents, visitors can enjoy an incredible line up of music, free workshops, and some truly amazing food.

Rock Oyster Festival

This three-day event in the seaside town of Rock will take place from 24th – 27th July, boasting events for all ages and preferences. Foodies can enjoy the chef demos and masterclasses (celebrating Rock oysters and seafood), whilst families can try their hand at paddle boarding, yoga, and circus skills.

Boardmasters

This quirky beach festival is held in one of Cornwall’s most popular surfing areas, Newquay, from 6th – 10th August. Visitors can enjoy the laid-back sounds of international music acts, watch the surf contests, visit Surf Village, and take part in BMX and skating events.
