Renowned for its glorious beaches and crystal-clear Atlantic waters, it’s no wonder that Newquay is the surfing capital of England. Each summer, surfers flock from near and afar to our pristine golden beaches in the hope of catching some waves. Our vibrant town is also home to a vast array of water sports – from coasteering to jet skis, sea safaris to paddleboarding, and everything in between.

Surfing in Newquay

Newquay is situated on the North Coast of the Atlantic Ocean, meaning that we get some truly fantastic waves. From complete beginners to surfing pros, there’s something for everyone here!

Water Sports in Newquay

If surfing isn’t your thing, Newquay offers a whole host of wonderful water sports that you can try your hand at. We personally love bodyboarding and paddleboarding here at The Beeches!

Newquay Activity Centre provides a wide array of ocean-based activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you want to brush up on your ocean skills, experience the beautiful Cornish coastline from a new perspective, or transform your passion into a profession, the Newquay Activity Centre has got you covered! Choose from surfing, bodyboarding, coasteering, paddleboarding, kayaking and outdoor training.

For a fun water experience like no other, why not visit the floating inflatable aqua park at Adrenalin Quarry? With various slides, obstacles and even a challenging balance beam, kids can enjoy the waters in a safe and friendly environment.

Head on over to Newquay Leisure Centre for some good ol’ fashioned family fun. The large, tropical-themed pool boasts flumes, slides, and a giant floating snake for the kids to enjoy – whilst the parents can get some laps in at the 25m swimming pool. There’s even a trampoline and soft play park for the little ones to enjoy!

If adventurous activities are not your thing, why not embark on one of Newquay Sea Safaris seal cove experiences? Discover all about the famous Newquay Grey Seals at Newquay harbour, before cruising off along the Cornish coastline and spotting native birds, marine wildlife, and crabbing boats. A great day out!
